Waste Diversion–Follow up

Back in May Tweed Green-Up member Denice Wilkins went to the Tweed Council with a proposition, that a place be created at our landfill for reusables to be set aside for pickup by potential reusers. See her original presentation here: Waste Diversion–A Delegation to Council.

Good things come to those who wait. Back in April Peter Snell wrote here about his project to produce a reusable shopping bag for Tweed in conjunction with the Tweed Chamber of Commerce. The bags have arrived, and will be available soon from Tweed merchants. Watch for them.
